Used: Indian Bridal Jewelry Set

US Size:

Affordable Indian bridal jewelry set!
Purchased directly from India and used for a photo wedding.
Perfect for pairing with saris and lehengas.

I bought this set from an online store specializing in affordable bridal jewelry called IndiaTrend. The bridal jewelry set cost around ¥20,000, and the separately sold waist chain (sari belt) was about ¥4,000.

[Set Contents]
- Tika (forehead ornament, hook type. As I have short hair, I managed to secure it with lots of pins.)
- Short Mala (necklace worn just below the neck)
- Long Mala (necklace worn layered with the short mala)
- Jumkas x 2 (bell-shaped earrings. Very heavy. When wearing them as earrings, a tool called La Pita is essential! Even with the tool, your earlobes will be pulled and stretched while wearing them. They are painful and make your face contort.)
- Clip-on Nose Tika (a clip-on nose tika, convenient for those without a nose piercing. It's like a nose ring. However, the clip was quite loose and required some adjustment. I gave up on wearing it.)
- Panja x 2 (accessories connecting a bracelet and a ring with a chain. Designed for slender and long Indian fingers and hands, so some modification might be needed to wear them. The ring fit me without modification, and I managed the excessively long bracelet part with a string.)
- Payal x 2 (anklets. Slightly difficult to put on, and even the Indian photographers struggled to attach them. They look incredibly beautiful peeking out from under the hem of a sari or lehenga.)
- Waist Chain (also known as a sari belt. An accessory worn around the waist. I bought it hoping for a South Indian vibe, but it ended up looking more like North Indian Rajasthani style when worn. Not suitable for lehengas.)

The earrings from IndiaTrend have been modified into clip-on earrings, but they can easily be converted back to pierced earrings using converters.

The gemstones are faux (plastic!), but the craftsmanship is intricate, typical of India, a country renowned for its jewelry manufacturing.
They look stunning in photographs.
This jewelry is not designed for repeated use or inheritance; it will barely last for about two more uses.
Rather than being an investment, this jewelry is all about maximizing photo appeal while keeping the cost down.
There are some missing gemstones, barely noticeable, but they are not conspicuous at all.

Ideal for Indian-style photo weddings and cosplay!
